So you think fiberglass pools are expensive? Think again!

Let’s break some myths, shall we? We’ve heard the rumors, the whispers and now we’re here to come clean on all this talk about fiberglass pool prices. Are they really higher than vinyl or concrete/gunite? Seems that way at a glance. The cost of fiberglass actually seems higher than all of them, but we have to look down the road to the installation and the upkeep to get an accurate reading. When we do we’ll show you how fiberglass actually has the lowest cost. Why? Well, you may pay more upfront, but you’ll save more money over time. And, after all, it’s the maintenance and upkeep that homeowners fear when first investigating the cost of a pool. That’s what turns a lot of prospective pool owners off, but if they do their homework they soon realize the ease of owning a fiberglass pool and low maintenance translates to less money spent.

Fiberglass pools are more durable and also non-porous unlike the other options. This means they can last a lifetime instead of repairing, renovating or (gasp!) even replacing the vinyl or gunite at a cost of thousands of dollars. Don’t even get me started on the time and energy you’ll have to go through (again) to have this big project disrupt your backyard and your life (again)!

We’ve said fiberglass is non-porous and algae resistant so it’s easier to keep clean and softer to the touch. But that also translates into less money spent because you’re using fewer chemicals, saving you hundreds of dollars a year, and thousands over the life of the pool.

Bottom line, if you’re concern IS your bottom-line then choosing fiberglass is a smart choice.
